Dear Prayer Partners

PRAISE REPORT:

* YOUTH OUTREACH: Over the weekend of 14 - 16 March a team of 22 youths and

adults from Lusaka Community Church arrived at Longezia for our first outreach

for 2008. The team helped to pack the Food Relief and Clothing parcels on

Saturday morning. That afternoon they met at the nearby soccer field with the

youth and children of some of the churches we work with for games, netball and

soccer. This was a great time of informal "friendship evangelism". On Sunday

morning the team attended a local church where they did a small skit, shared

testimonies and one of the leaders shared the Word. We were thrilled to

facilitate an "in-country" outreach team here at Longezia!!!

* PASSOVER CELEBRATION: We enjoyed a Seder meal on Resurrection Sunday

together with all our on-base missionaries. It was a special time of reflection

and celebration.

* LINDA: We thank God for being with Linda who is making a good and steady

recovery from her surgery. She starts Chemo-therapy in the first week of April.

Karin is flying down to Cape Town to visit and be with her for a week (1 - 8

April).

* FLOOD RELIEF: We thank God for the financial support, support in second-hand

clothing and prayer support we have received towards the Flood Relief Fund. We

started distributing the Relief Food & Clothing Parcels yesterday (Tuesday, 25

March) and it has been a wonderful experience to meet and speak with the

recipients of these donations. Each one has their own story to tell. It makes

one grieve with their pain and loss. On the other hand, the joy and jubilation

on their faces as they receive their parcels, leaves one with a deep

thankfulness at being able to help alleviate their suffering albeit in such a

small measure. THANK YOU for giving!!! We will keep you updated.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

* FANWELL MALAUZI: our indigenous co-worker and friend has not been physically

well for a while. He will be starting TB treatment soon. Please keep this man

of God in your prayers. We are trusting God to touch and heal him completely so

that he will be fully restored to continue with the work and calling God has on

his life.

* KOMENA TRAINING CENTER: please pray for the 15 new students who will enroll

for First Year Foundational Training this year and for the second and third

years students as they prepare for classes too. Also pray for all the lecturers

who will be teaching at Komena. Pray that all their traveling expenses will be

met; that the Lord will protect and provide for their families in their

absence; and for safety and protection as they travel to Zambia from all over

the world.

* OUTREACHES AND MINISTRY PROGRAMS: please pray for all the outreach teams who

will be visiting us this year (7 - 8 teams provisionally booked). Please pray

for all the ministry programs from Longezia. All the programs are experiencing

a phenomenal growth and expansion. We need wisdom and discernment to keep

"pace" with God's agenda!!
